Washer Pump Inoperative

  1. Disconnect the washer pump connector.
  2. Connect a DMM between terminal A and terminal B of the washer pump connector.
  3. Move the washer pump to the ON position.
  4. Measure the voltage at the washer pump connector.

Is the voltage within the specified values?

10.0-14.0V

Go to Step 3

Check the washer pump lines, nozzles, and connections for any restrictions.

Are these components in normal operating condition?

Repair the washer pump lines, nozzles, or connections as needed.

Is the repair complete?

Replace the washer pump.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Connect a DMM between terminal A of the washer pump connector and ground.
  2. Move the washer pump to the ON position.
  3. Measure the voltage at the washer pump connector.

Is the voltage within the specified values?

10.0-14.0V

Repair an open in CKT 150.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Using a DMM, backprobe C219 terminal E with the positive lead of the DMM.
  2. Connect the negative lead of the DMM to ground.
  3. Move the washer pump to the ON position.
  4. Measure the voltage at connector C219 terminal E.

Is the voltage within the specified values?

10.0-14.0V

Repair the open in CKT 94.
