  1. Disconnect the power antenna connector.
  2. Connect a DMM between terminal A of the power antenna connector and ground.
  3. Measure the available voltage at terminal A of the power antenna connector.

Is the voltage within the specified values?

10.0-14.0V

Inspect the RDO/ANT MiniFuse® #24 for an open circuit.

Is the fuse open?

  1. Power antenna connector is still disconnected.
  2. Replace the RDO/ANT MiniFuse® #24.

Does the fuse open immediately when it is installed?

Repair a short to ground in CKT 40.

Is the repair complete?

Repair the open in CKT 40.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Connect the DMM between terminal C and ground.
  2. Measure CKT 150 for continuity to ground.

Is CKT 150 continuous to ground?

Repair the open in CKT 150 between the power antenna assembly and G302.

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Radio/Audio System Check

  1. Connect the DMM between terminals B and C at the power antenna connector.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
  3. Turn the radio ON.
  4. Measure the voltage at terminal B of the power antenna connector.

Is the voltage within the specified values?

10.0-14.0V

Go to Step 10

Replace the power antenna assembly.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Remove the Bose® MiniRelay #43 from the instrument panel electrical center.
  2. Connect a DMM between ground and the CKT 145 terminal in the instrument panel electrical center which is used for the Bose® MiniRelay #43.
  3. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
  4. Turn the radio ON.
  5. Measure the voltage at the CKT 145 terminal inside the instrument panel electrical center.

Is the voltage within the specified values?

10.0-14.0V

Repair an open in CKT 145 between the instrument panel electrical center and the power antenna connector.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
  2. Disconnect and remove the radio from the instrument panel.
  3. Connect a DMM between the radio connector C1 terminal 8 and the CKT 145 terminal in the instrument panel electrical center which is used for the Bose® MiniRelay #43.
  4. Measure CKT 145 for continuity between these two terminals.

Is CKT 145 continuous between these terminals?

Repair an open in CKT 145 between the Bose® MiniRelay #43 and the radio connector C1.

Is the repair complete?

Replace the radio.

Is the repair complete?
