  1. Disconnect the Remote CD Player connector.
  2. Using a DMM, measure the voltage between Remote CD Player connector terminal 5 and ground.

Is the measured voltage within the specified values?

10.0 -14.0V

Check the 15 Amp RDO/CD Minifuse® #6 for an open circuit.

Is the fuse open?

Go to Step 5

Repair the open in CKT 440.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Remove the blown fuse.
  2. Using a DMM, measure the resistance between the Remote CD Player connector terminal 5 and ground.

Is CKT 440 shorted to ground?

Repair CKT 440 for a short to ground.

Is the repair complete?

Using a DMM, measure the voltage between the Remote CD Player connector terminal 5 and terminal 7.

Is the measured voltage within the specified values?

10.0 -14.0V

Repair the open in CKT 351 between the Remote CD Player and G201.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Disconnect the Radio connector C2.
  2. Remote compact disc player still disconnected.
  3. Using a DMM, measure the resistance between the Radio connector C2 terminal 15 and ground.

Is CKT 835 shorted to ground?

Is CKT 367 shorted to ground?

Is CKT 835 continuous between these two connectors?

Is CKT 367 continuous between these two connectors?

Is CKT 368 continuous between these two connectors?
