Front Fog Lamp Replacement Assembly

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 171878  Size: SH
  1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  2. Remove the front fascia lower closeout panel. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Lower Close Out Panel Replacement in Bumpers.
  3. Release the brake caliper cooling duct from the front fascia, then reposition the duct.

  4. Object Number: 64629  Size: SH
  5. Disconnect the front fog lamp electrical connector.

  6. Object Number: 64632  Size: SH
  7. Remove the front fog lamp mounting bolt.
  8. Remove the lamp from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 64632  Size: SH
  1. Position the front fog lamp to the front bumper impact bar.
  2. Insert the fog lamp bracket alignment tab into the hole on the front bumper impact bar.

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the front fog lamp mounting bolt.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the front fog lamp mounting bolt to 1.9 N·m (17 lb in).

  5. Connect the front fog lamp electrical connector.

  6. Object Number: 171878  Size: SH
  7. Position the brake caliper cooling duct to the front fascia, then push to secure.
  8. Install the front fascia lower closeout panel. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Lower Close Out Panel Replacement in Bumpers.
  9. Lower the vehicle.
  10. Verify that the front fog lamps are aimed properly. Refer to Fog Lamp Aiming .

Front Fog Lamp Replacement Bulb

Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  2. Remove the front fascia lower closeout panel. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Lower Close Out Panel Replacement in Bumpers.
  3. Release the brake caliper cooling duct from the front fascia, then reposition the duct.

  4. Object Number: 64629  Size: SH
  5. Disconnect the front fog lamp electrical connector.

  6. Object Number: 64630  Size: SH

    Caution: Halogen bulbs contain gas under pressure. Handling a bulb improperly could cause it to shatter into flying glass fragments. To help avoid personal injury:

       • Turn off the lamp switch and allow the bulb to cool before changing the bulb.
       • Leave the lamp switch OFF until the bulb change is complete.
       • Always wear eye protection when changing a halogen bulb.
       • Handle the bulb only by its base. Avoid touching the glass.
       • Keep dirt and moisture off the bulb.
       • Properly dispose of the used bulb.
       • Keep halogen bulbs out of the reach of children.

  7. Remove the fog lamp bulb from the fog lamp.
  8. Twist the bulb to release.

Installation Procedure

       • Properly dispose of the used bulb.

  1. Install the fog lamp bulb to the fog lamp assembly.
  2. Twist the bulb to secure.

  3. Connect the front fog lamp electrical connector.

  4. Object Number: 171878  Size: SH
  5. Position the brake caliper cooling duct to the front fascia, then push to secure.
  6. Install the front fascia lower closeout panel. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Lower Close Out Panel Replacement in Bumpers.
  7. Lower the vehicle.
  8. Verify that the front fog lamps are aimed properly. Refer to Fog Lamp Aiming .
