Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 63735 Size: SH
  1. Remove the roof lift off panel.

    2. Object Number: 71202 Size: SH
  2. Remove the roof bow center interior trim panel. Refer to Rear Roof Bow Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.

    3. Object Number: 63745 Size: SH
  3. Mark the location of the striker.
  4. Remove the bolts attaching the striker.
  5. Remove the striker.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 63745 Size: SH
  1. Position the striker to the marks made before removal.

    2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  2. Install the striker attaching bolts.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the roof rear latch striker bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  3. Install the roof bow center interior trim panel. Refer to Rear Roof Bow Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.

    4. Object Number: 63735 Size: SH
  4. Install the roof lift off panel.
