- Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
- Install the scan tool.
- Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
- Select display DTC function with the scan tool.
- Check for any stored DTCs related to either DOOR or SEAT operation.

are stored in memory or current status.

• | DTC is stored in memory or current status (refer to appropriate
DTC table). |
• | Scan Tool Does Not Communicate with Component. |

- Turn ignition to the OFF position.
- Remove the scan tool from the diagnostic link connector.
- Check the driver's side power seat operation.
- Press the driver's side seat control button in the following order:
• | Front vertical adjust up. |
• | Front vertical adjust down. |
• | Rear vertical adjust up. |
• | Rear vertical adjust down. |
|
- Driver's seat moves to the forward position.
- Driver's seat moves to the rearward position.
- Front of driver's seat moves upward.
- Front of driver's seat moves downward.
- Rear of driver's seat moves upward.
- Rear of driver's seat moves downward.

• | Power Seat Does Not Move Forward/Rearward. |
• | Power Seat Inoperative (Driver's Seat). |
• | Power Seat Does Not Tilt Forward. |
• | Power Seat Does Not Tilt Rearward. |

- Check the passenger's side power seat operation (if equipped).
- Press the passenger's side seat control button in the following
order:
• | Front vertical adjust up. |
• | Front vertical adjust down. |
• | Rear vertical adjust up. |
• | Rear vertical adjust down. |

- Passenger's seat moves to the forward position.
- Passenger's seat moves to the rearward position.
- Front of passenger's seat moves upward.
- Front of passenger's seat moves downward.
- Rear of passenger's seat moves upward.
- Rear of passenger's seat moves downward.

• | Power Seat Does Not Move Forward/Rearward. |
• | Power Seat Inoperative (Passenger's Seat). |
• | Power Seat Does Not Tilt Forward. |

- Check the driver's seat lumbar operation (if equipped).
- Press the driver's side seat control buttons in the following
order:

- Driver's side upper lumbar inflates.
- Driver's side upper lumbar deflates.
- Driver's side lower lumbar inflates.
- Driver's side lower lumbar deflates.
- Driver's side bolsters inflate.
- Driver's side bolsters deflate.
|
• | Seat - Lumbar Support Inoperative (Driver). |
• | Inoperative Lumbar Support in Both Seats. |

- Check the passenger's seat lumbar operation (if equipped).
- Press the passenger's side seat control buttons in the following
order:

- Passenger's side upper lumbar inflates.
- Passenger's side upper lumbar deflates.
- Passenger's side lower lumbar inflates.
- Passenger's side lower lumbar deflates.
- Passenger's side bolsters inflate.
- Passenger's side bolsters deflate.

• | Seat - Lumbar Support Inoperative (Passenger). |
• | Inoperative Lumbar Support in Both Seats. |

- Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
- Engine is OFF, vehicle is in park/neutral and not moving.
- Move the driver's seat to the full rear position.
- Depress and hold the Memory 1 button until the memory indicator
flashes once.
- Move the driver's seat to the full front position.
- Depress and hold the Memory 2 button until the memory indicator
flashes once.
- Choose one other alternate seat position that is different from
the two previous settings.
- Depress and hold both the Memory 1 and Memory 2 button until the
memory indicators flash once.

- The Memory 1 indicator will glow steady for one second and then
flash once when the position for Memory 1 is completed.
- Memory 1 is set in the full rear position.
- The Memory 2 indicator will glow steady for one second and then
flash once when the position for Memory 2 is completed.
- Memory 2 is set in the full front position.
- The Memory 1/2 indicators will glow steady for one second and
then flash once when the position for Memory 1/2 is completed.
- Memory 1/2 is set in the designation of the technician's choice.

• | DTC 2242 Memory 1 Switch Fault - DCM-Left. |
• | DTC 2244 Memory 2 Switch Fault - DCM-Left. |
• | DTC 2605 Seat Front Vert. Position Sensor Failure. |
• | DTC 2606 Seat Rear Vert. Position Sensor Failure. |
• | DTC 2607 Seat Horizontal Position Sensor Failure. |

| Now
test the Memory switch functions as follows:
• | Depress the Memory 1 button. |
• | Depress the Memory 2 button. |
• | Depress the Memory 1 and Memory 2 buttons simultaneously. |
|
- The driver's side seat will move into Memory position 1 which
is in the full rear position.
- The driver's side seat will move into Memory position 2 which
is in the full front position.
- The driver's side seat will move into Memory position 1/2 which
is set in the designation of the technician's choice.

• | DTC 2242 Memory 1 Switch Fault - DCM-Left. |
• | DTC 2244 Memory 2 Switch Fault - DCM-Left. |
• | DTC 2605 Seat Front Vert. Position Sensor Failure. |
• | DTC 2606 Seat Rear Vert. Position Sensor Failure. |
• | DTC 2607 Seat Horizontal Position Sensor Failure. |

the applicable abnormal result.
