The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Condition/Concern:

The rear hatch appears to require "excessive" effort to close with the doors closed and the windows rolled up. The concern is likely an "air bind" issue when the rear hatch is closed quickly from a open position.

Recommendation/Instructions:

The proper method to close the hatch is to grab and lower it slowly with both hands until it contacts the latches. With the hatch in this position, place a hand on both sides of the hatch above the latches & press down quickly. This information is in the owner's video.

Note:: To eliminate a mechanical concern, open both the driver and passenger doors. If the hatch closes with no concern, the above information applies.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
