Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 675309  Size: SH
  1. Remove the battery tray. Refer to Battery Tray Replacement .
  2. Open the stud cover on the fuse/relay center cover.
  3. Remove the positive battery cable nut (1).
  4. Remove the positive battery cable lead from the stud.
  5. Remove the battery positive fuse block cable from the stud.

  7. Disengage the kick-up panel latches inside the vehicle.
  8. Open the panel.
  9. Lift the panels bottom edge up and out of the slots in the multi-use relay bracket.
  10. Remove the kick-up panel.

  11. Object Number: 675311  Size: SH
  12. Unsnap the junction block from the bracket.
  13. Reposition the junction block nut boot.
  14. Remove the instrument panel (IP) wiring harness junction block nut.
  15. Remove the battery positive fuse block cable from the stud.
  16. Route the fuse block cable through the front of dash and remove the cable.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 675311  Size: SH
  1. Install and route the fuse block cable through the front of dash.
  2. Install the battery positive fuse block cable to the stud.
  3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the IP wiring harness junction block nut.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the IP wiring harness junction block nut to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  6. Reposition the junction block nut boot.
  7. Snap the junction block to the bracket.

  8. Object Number: 71195  Size: SH
  9. Ensure the latches on the kick-up panel are open.
  10. Insert the kick-up panel lower tabs into the slots in the bracket.
  11. Close the panel and push the latches into the holes.

  12. Object Number: 675309  Size: SH
  13. Install the battery positive fuse block cable to the stud.
  14. Install the positive battery cable lead to the stud.
  15. Install the positive battery cable nut (1).
  16. Tighten
    Tighten the positive battery cable nut to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  17. Close the stud cover on the fuse/relay center cover.
  18. Install the battery tray. Refer to Battery Tray Replacement .
