J 34730-1A Fuel Pressure Gauge

1. Remove the fuel sender assembly. Refer to Fuel Sender Assembly Replacement .
2. Support the fuel sender assembly and unlock the two latching tabs while pulling the fuel strainer off the pump.
3. Remove and inspect the strainer o-ring for damage.
4. Inspect the fuel strainer. Replace a contaminated strainer and clean the fuel tank. Refer to Fuel System Cleaning

1. Lubricate and install the strainer o-ring into fuel strainer.
2. Install a new fuel strainer in the same position as noted during disassembly. Align the two strainer latching tabs and push the strainer on to the fuel pump until the strainer is fully seated and the latching tabs are fully engaged.
3. Install the fuel sender assembly. Refer to Fuel Sender Assembly Replacement .
