Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 676712  Size: SH
  1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  2. Support the front of the catalytic converter with an adjustable jack stand.
  3. Remove the exhaust pipe brace lower bolts.

  4. Object Number: 676717  Size: SH
  5. Remove the exhaust pipe hanger lower bolts.

  6. Object Number: 676192  Size: SH
  7. Remove the left and right exhaust manifold nuts.
  8. Lower the front of the catalytic converter.
  9. Remove the exhaust seal.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 676192  Size: SH
  1. Install a NEW exhaust seal.
  2. Raise the front of the catalytic converter.
  3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the left and right exhaust manifold nuts.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the exhaust manifold nuts to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).

  6. Install the exhaust pipe hanger lower bolts.
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the exhaust pipe hanger bolts to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).

  8. Install the exhaust pipe brace lower bolts.
  9. Tighten
    Tighten the exhaust pipe brace bolts to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).

  10. Remove the adjustable jack stand.
  11. Lower the vehicle.
