Removal Procedure
- Turn the ignition OFF.
- Drain the cooling system. Refer to
Cooling System Draining and Filling
in Engine Cooling.
- Disconnect and remove the radiator inlet hose. Refer to
Radiator Inlet Hose Replacement
in Engine Cooling.
- Loosen the two retaining
nuts (1) and carefully reposition the EBCM to access the brake pressure
sensor (2).
- Disconnect the brake pressure sensor electrical connector.
- Remove the brake pressure sensor from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the brake fluid pressure sensor to the EBCM in the vehicle.
Tighten
Tighten the switch to 22 N·m (16 lb ft).
- Connect the brake pressure sensor electrical connector.
- Reposition the EBCM to
the support bracket and tighten the insulator nuts (1).
Tighten
Tighten the nuts to 12 N·m (106 lb in).
- Install and connect the radiator inlet hose. Refer to
Radiator Inlet Hose Replacement
in Engine Cooling.
- Fill the cooling system. Refer to
Cooling System Draining and Filling
in Engine Cooling.
- Perform the
Diagnostic System Check - ABS
.
