Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 299792  Size: SH
  1. Remove the compressor. Refer to Air Conditioning Compressor Replacement .
  2. Remove the compressor drive belt tensioner from the compressor mounting bracket.
  3. Remove the compressor drive belt idler pulley from the compressor mounting bracket.

  4. Object Number: 174360  Size: SH
  5. Remove the compressor bracket mounting bolt.
  6. Remove the compressor bracket.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 174359  Size: SH
  1. Install the compressor mounting stud to the engine block.
  2. Install the compressor mounting bracket onto the compressor mounting stud.
  3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the compressor bracket mounting bolt.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).

  6. Install the compressor drive belt idler pulley to the compressor mounting bracket.
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the compressor drive belt idler pulley to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).

  8. Install the compressor drive belt tensioner to the compressor mounting bracket.
  9. Tighten
    Tighten the compressor drive belt tensioner to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  10. Install the compressor. Refer to Air Conditioning Compressor Replacement .
