J 38185 Hose Clamp Pliers

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 82060  Size: SH
  1. Drain the coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling in Engine Cooling.

  2. Object Number: 380075  Size: SH
  3. Remove the retaining strap (1), which retains the heater inlet hose (2) to the evaporator tube - front.

  4. Object Number: 82059  Size: SH
  5. Using the J 38185 , release and reposition the inlet heater hose clamp away from the heater pipe.
  6. Separate the inlet heater hose from heater pipe.
  7. Using the J 38185 , release and reposition the inlet heater hose clamp away from the engine coolant pump.
  8. Separate the heater inlet hose from coolant pump.
  9. Remove the inlet heater hose from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 82059  Size: SH
  1. Using a lint-free clean, dry cloth, carefully clean the sealing surfaces of the heater inlet pipe end, and the coolant pump.
  2. Position the inlet heater hose to the vehicle.
  3. Install the heater inlet hose to the heater pipe.
  4. Using the J 38185 , install the heater inlet hose clamp.
  5. Align the heater hose clamp as shown.

  6. Install the heater inlet hose to the engine coolant pump.
  7. Using the J 38185 , install the heater hose clamp.
  8. Align the heater hose clamp as shown.

  9. Install a new retaining strap (1) to retain the heater inlet hose (2) to the evaporator tube - front.
  10. Position the retaining strap as shown.

  11. Refill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling in Engine Cooling.
