Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 295319 Size: SH
  1. Remove the IP lower insulator panel - RH. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Right Side in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.

    2. Caution: Unplug the blower motor before removal. Blower motor case contact with any ground may start the fan and cause personal injury.

  2. Disconnect the blower motor control module electrical connector.

    3. Object Number: 295327 Size: SH
  3. Disconnect the blower motor control module electrical connector from the blower motor.

    4. Object Number: 295320 Size: SH
  4. Loosen the blower motor control module forward two retaining screws (nearest the dash mat) approximately 5 mm (0.197 in).

    5. The control module is slotted at the forward retaining locations.

  5. Remove the rear blower motor control module retaining screw.
  6. Tilt down the rear of the blower motor control module.
  7. Remove the blower motor control module from the HVAC module.

Installation Procedure
  1. Install the blower motor control module to the HVAC module.

    2. Object Number: 295320 Size: SH
  2. Position the blower motor control module forward retaining slots onto the forward retaining screws.
  3. Align and seat the blower control module to the HVAC module.
  4. Install the rear blower motor control module retaining screw.

    5. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Tighten all the blower motor control module retaining screws.

    6. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 1.6 N·m (14 lb in).

  6. Connect the blower motor electrical connector.

    7. Object Number: 295319 Size: SH
  7. Connect the blower motor control module electrical connector.
  8. Install the IP lower insulator panel - RH. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Right Side in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
