Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 295337  Size: SH
  1. Remove the right instrument panel (I/P) lower insulator panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Right Side in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
  2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the vacuum control solenoid.

  3. Object Number: 295340  Size: SH
  4. Disconnect the vacuum harness connector from the vacuum control solenoid.

  5. Object Number: 295343  Size: SH
  6. Remove the vacuum control solenoid valve retaining screws.
  7. Remove the control solenoid.
  8. Pull the control solenoid straight down to release the tab from the slot in the HVAC module case.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 295343  Size: SH
  1. Align the vacuum control solenoid tab to the slot in the HVAC module case, then push up to seat the control solenoid.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the vacuum control solenoid retaining screws.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 1.5 N·m (13 lb in).

  5. Connect the vacuum harness connector to the vacuum control solenoid.

  6. Object Number: 295337  Size: SH
  7. Connect the electrical connector to the vacuum control solenoid.
  8. Install the right I/P lower insulator panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Right Side in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
