Retained Accessory Power (RAP) allows the radio and power windows to operate after the ignition is turned off. The power mode status is sent from the Body Control Module (BCM) through the serial data circuit. The RAP power mode is controlled by the BCM using an internal timer, ignition switch status, and door ajar switches. When the ignition is turned OFF, the radio and power windows will continue to function normally for a period of 15 minutes or until a door is opened.
