Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 63818  Size: SH
  1. Remove the door trim panel. Refer to Door Trim Panel Replacement .

  2. Object Number: 63790  Size: SH
  3. Remove the water deflector.

  4. Object Number: 63833  Size: SH
  5. Remove the door radio speaker assembly.
  6. • Remove the screws mounting the speaker assembly.
    • Disconnect the electrical/audio connector.

  7. Remove the window clamp sight access plugs.

  8. Object Number: 63823  Size: SH
  9. Reconnect the window switch.
  10. Reposition the window full up to access the window clamp nuts.
  11. Disconnect the window switch.

  12. Object Number: 63801  Size: SH
  13. Mark the location of the window.
  14. Loosen the window clamp nuts.
  15. Remove the window through the top opening of the door.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 63839  Size: SH
  1. Install the window, through the top of the door, to a regulator that is in the full up position.

  2. Object Number: 63801  Size: SH
  3. Align the rearward glass clamp within the alignment marks on the window.
  4. Loosely tighten the rear window clamp nut.
  5. With the aid of an assistant standing outside the vehicle position the window to the door opening.
  6. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  7. From inside the vehicle tighten the window clamps.
  8. Tighten
    Tighten the window regulator window clamp nuts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  9. Open the door and install the window clamp access plugs.

  10. Object Number: 63833  Size: SH
  11. Install the uppermost screw mounting the radio speaker assembly to the door.
  12. Install the remaining screws in a criss-cross pattern.
  13. Tighten
    Tighten the door speaker assembly screws to 2.5 N·m (22 lb in).

  14. Connect the electrical/audio connector.

  16. Install the water deflector.

  17. Object Number: 63818  Size: SH
  18. Install the door trim panel. Refer to Door Trim Panel Replacement .
  19. Perform minor height and tip-in adjustments as necessary. Refer to Door Window Minor Height Adjustment or Door Window Tip-In Adjustment .
