Rear Compartment Floor Panel Carpet Replacement Convertible

1. Position the folding top in an open position with the number 1 and the number 5 bows up.



2. Open the folding top stowage compartment lid.



3. Remove the rear speaker covers.
4. Remove the rear side support trim covers.
5. Pull the carpet from behind the supports.
6. Close the folding top stowage lid.




Important: Do not attempt to open the folding top stowage lid and the rear compartment lid at the same time. The panels will contact in the open position.

7. Open the rear compartment lid.



8. Remove the rear floor stowage compartment covers.
9. Remove the center rear floor stowage compartment cover latch striker retainers by sliding the retainers toward the rear of the vehicle.



10. Remove the rear corner carpet trim panels. Refer to Rear Corner Trim Panel Carpet Replacement .



11. Remove the rear compartment carpet.

Caution: In order to avoid personal injury or vehicle damage when you repair or replace the carpet, use the same thickness and material size as the original installation. Always return the carpet to the original location.

1. Position the carpet to the rear floor.
2. Install the center rear floor stowage compartment cover latch striker retainers.



3. Install the rear corner carpet trim panels. Refer to Rear Corner Trim Panel Carpet Replacement .



4. Install the stowage compartment covers.
5. Close the rear compartment lid.




Important: Do not attempt to open the folding top stowage lid and the rear compartment lid at the same time. The panels will contact in the open position.

6. Open the folding top stowage lid.



7. Tuck the carpet behind the supports.
8. Install the support trim panels.
9. Install the speaker covers.
10. Close the folding top stowage lid.

Rear Compartment Floor Panel Carpet Replacement Coupe

1. Remove the covers from the right, left, and center rear floor stowage compartments.
2. Remove the latch striker retainers from the cover of the center compartment by sliding the retainers toward the rear of the vehicle.



3. Remove the forward stowage brackets from the roof lift-off panel by rotating the brackets 90 degrees clockwise.
4. Remove the carpet retainers for the bracket by prying the retainers up.



5. Pull the carpet from under the speaker grilles, and from under the rear corner carpet trim panels.
6. Remove the rear compartment carpet.

Caution: In order to avoid personal injury or vehicle damage when you repair or replace the carpet, use the same thickness and material size as the original installation. Always return the carpet to the original location.

1. Position the carpet under the speaker grilles and under the rear corner carpet trim panels.



2. Install the latch striker retainers to the cover of the center stowage compartment.
3. Install the carpet retainers to the forward stowage brackets of the roof lift-off panel.
4. Install the brackets to the roof lift-off panel. Rotate the brackets 90 degrees counterclockwise to secure.



5. Install the covers to the right, left, and center rear stowage compartments.

Rear Compartment Floor Panel Carpet Replacement Hardtop

1. Remove the floor center stowage cover.



2. Slide the cargo lamps up out of the corners of the carpet.



3. Remove the trim panels from the rear compartment supports.



4. Remove the rear compartment side trim panels. Refer to Rear Compartment Side Trim Panel Replacement .



5. Remove the floor carpet from around the rear compartment supports.
6. Pull the carpet out from under the flange along the rear of the stowage area.
7. Remove the carpet from the vehicle.

1. Position the carpet in the vehicle and around the rear compartment supports.



2. Install the rear compartment side trim panels. Refer to Rear Compartment Side Trim Panel Replacement .



3. Install the trim support panels to the rear compartment supports.



4. Snap the cargo lamps into the carpet.
5. Position the fuel door release cable through the carpet and secure the end tab of the cable with the hook and loop patch to the carpet.



6. Install the rear floor center stowage cover.
