1.1. | Grasp the windshield side garnish molding. |
1.2. | Pull the molding with its retainers from the windshield frame. |
2.1. | Disconnect the inside rearview mirror electrical connector. |
2.2. | Loosen the mirror mount tension screw. |
2.3. | Slide the mirror up off the mirror bracket. |
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
Tighten
Tighten the rearview mirror mount tension screw to 1.5 N·m
(13 lb in).
8.1. | Position the side garnish molding behind the lock pillar molding and retainer. |
8.2. | Position the side garnish molding with its retainers to the holes in the windshield frame. |
8.3. | Push on the molding snapping the retainers into the windshield frame. |
