The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in the PI.
Condition/Concern:
Some customers may state that there is a water leak on the driver's side of the vehicle or water is dripping on the driver's feet
Recommendation/Instructions:
If, after normal diagnosis, a concern can't be found, remove the windshield wiper arms and front cowl and inspect for proper sealing of the Heads Up Display (HUD) plate that is located on the driver side of the vehicle. The plate is located inside the cowl assembly directly below the spot where the HUD unit (if equipped) would be located. The plate is on all vehicles with or without a HUD assembly.
If this is the area of concern, seal the seam with Medium Body Seam Sealing Compound Urethane, P/N 12378501 (Canadian P/N 10952233) or equivalent.
Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
