Subject: | Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems DTCs Do Not Match SI |
Models: | 2000-2004 Chevrolet Corvette |
The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
While diagnosing a Tire Pressure Monitor System concern on an 2000-2004 Chevrolet Corvette, you may notice that the DTCs stored in the vehicle will not match the DTCs in Service Information.
Some 2000-2004 vehicles equipped with the Tire Pressure Monitor (TPM) system, which is controlled by the Remote Control Door Lock Receiver (RCDLR) Module, or the Remote Function Actuation (RFA) system, were released with different software in the module.
The code numbers have changed from 2000 to 2004. However, the diagnostic procedures are the same. If you experience this problem, you should use the diagnosis chart for your particular year of vehicle and use the chart below to see which tire you are dealing with.
The codes are as follows:
• | C0750 and C2100 LF TPM Sensor Malfunction |
• | C0755 and C2105 RF TPM Sensor Malfunction |
• | C0760 and C2110 RR TPM Sensor Malfunction |
• | C0765 and C2115 LR TPM Sensor Malfunction |
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
