The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in the PI.
Condition/Concern:
The customer may state that the driver's or passenger's seatbelt will not extend from the seatbelt retractor.
Recommendation/Instructions:
If, after performing normal diagnosis, a resolution can't be found, replace the affected seatbelt and install a new bolt (P/N:15017724) and new washer (P/N:10257765). Discard the original bolt and washer. The new washer has a larger diameter and is used to evenly distribute the clamping load on the lower seatbelt retractor.
Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
