Verify that the passenger door power window is inoperative.

Does the passenger door power window operate normally?

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems

Go to Step 3

  1. Install a scan tool.
  2. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
  3. With a scan tool, command the passenger window motor Up and Down.

Does the passenger window go Up and Down with each command?

Go to Step 4

  1. With a scan tool, observe the driver RF window switch parameter in the Driver Door Module (DDM) data list.
  2. Activate the driver RF window switch Up and Down.

Does the scan tool display Up and Down for the driver RF window switch parameter?

Go to Step 5

  1. With a scan tool, observe the passenger window switch parameter in the Passenger Door Module (PDM) data list.
  2. Activate the passenger window switch Up and Down.

Does the scan tool display Up and Down for the passenger window switch parameter?

Test the passenger door switch ground circuit for an open. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Test the power window motor front passenger signal circuits for an open. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Inspect for poor connections at the harness connector of the passenger door module (PDM). Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Inspect for poor connections at the harness connector of the driver door switch assembly (DDSA). Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Inspect for poor connections at the harness connector of the passenger window switch. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Important: Perform the power window reinitialization procedure after replacing the door module. Refer to Power Window Reinitialization .

Replace the PDM. Refer to Control Module References in Computer/Integrating Systems for replacement, setup and programming.
