Preliminary Procedures

1. Remove the number # 1 Bow weatherstrip and retainer. Refer to Folding Top Weatherstrip, Retainer Replacement .
2. Release and fold back the folding top cover from the  # 1 Bow. Refer to Folding Top Cover Replacement .
3. Remove the front section of the headliner. Refer to Folding Top Headlining Trim Panel Replacement .

Leaving the two outward most screws intact, remove the inboard headliner retaining bracket screws and fold back the headliner.

Turn the latch actuator counterclock wise, pull downward to release from the latch actuator.

Tighten
6 N·m (53 lb in)
