Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 289910 Size: SH
  1. Position the #1 bow and the #5 bow up.
  2. Open the folding top stowage compartment lid.
  3. Remove the retainer from the lock pillar end of the seal.
  4. Pull the molded end of the seal from the lock pillar.

  5. Pull the weatherstrip from the stowage compartment flange.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 284778 Size: SH
  1. Apply a bead of sealer, GM P/N 12345739 or Canadian P/N 10953472, or equivalent to the front seal surface of the lock pillar stowage compartment and to the surround flange.
  2. Remove the paper backing from the adhesive on the bottom of the molded ends of the weatherstrip.
  3. Position the molded ends of the weatherstrip to the lock pillars.
  4. Tuck the outboard lip of the seal underneath the flange of the quarter panels.
  5. Secure the molded ends of the weatherstrip with the retainers.

    6. Object Number: 214133 Size: SH
  6. Firmly secure the weatherstrip to the stowage compartment flange.
  7. Close the folding top stowage compartment.
  8. Reposition the folding top to the original position.
