It has come to our attention that door speakers are being unnecessarily replaced to correct a door rattle concern.
Prior to replacing any speaker(s), follow the tables below to determine the root cause.

Using service diagnostic CD (J 39916-8), play tracks 4, 5, 6, and 7 for tones and track 14 for Obd sound (quiet track). Set the radio controls to fade and balance to the speaker where the noise is coming from. Set the treble control to max and adjust the volume to hear the noise. |
