Wind Noise and Removable Roof Bonding Separated - keywords appearance blister leak paint panel targa top water

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Some customers may have a concern with a wind noise or water leak coming from the top of the windshield where the front of the removable top meets the windshield header. On further inspection, you may notice the removable top is separating at the bonding joint. The separation can occur on any edge, front side or back.

If you experience this concern, the removable top will have to be replaced. If the vehicle was built prior to December 01, 2004, replace the removable top with GM part number: 89023766. If the vehicle was built after December 01, 2004 , replace the removable top with GM part number: 19120484. The new top will have to be painted to match the color of the vehicle.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
