Programming The Navigation Radio - keywords CD calibration program relearn URB US8 US9 vin

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

When programming the Navigation Radio, there has been confusion on how to program the radio using the Tech 2. In the Tech 2, there are 2 selections. The first selection is "Navigation Radio" and the second is "Radio". Selecting the wrong category may result in loss of communication and a radio that is not set up or vin relearned.

1. To program the Navigation Radio RPO URB, select the Tech 2 path below....

Vehicle Control Systems/Computer-Integrating Systems/Module Set Up/Navigation Radio/Vin Relearn

2. To program the CD/MP3 radio RPO US8 or 6disc in dash US9 Radio, select the Tech2 path below.

Vehicle Control Systems/Computer-Integrating Systems/Module Set Up/Radio/Radio Set Up. Once the radio set up is completed, perform the vin relearn.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
