Models:2005-2008 Chevrolet Corvette

This PI was superseded to update model years. Please discard PIC4194.

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Condition/Concern:

A customer may comment that the "Active Handling Calibration" message is displayed at times. This concern can be intermittent and will not store any DTCs. This message will display when the EBCM has not learned the Steering Wheel Position Sensor's position or when the EBCM does not see the calibration during a steering maneuver (usually after or during a quick aggressive turn). This message will go out when the Steering Wheel Position Sensor has an opportunity to find the Steering Position Sensor data or when the calibration meets yaw rate and wheel speed data.

Recommendation/Instructions:

This is normal operation of the stability system. No repairs are recommended.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
