Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  2. Lower and support the rear of the exhaust.
  3. Install a drain pan under the vehicle.
  4. Important: Cap or plug the open transmission fluid cooler pipes immediately to prevent system contamination.

  5. Disconnect the rear transmission fluid cooler upper pipe from the transmission. Refer to Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick-Connect Fitting Disconnection and Connection .

  6. Object Number: 1503940  Size: SH
  7. Remove the transmission fluid cooler pipes clip.
  8. Disconnect the rear transmission fluid cooler upper pipe from the Differential oil cooler. Refer to Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick-Connect Fitting Disconnection and Connection .
  9. Remove the rear to differential cooler transmission fluid cooler upper pipe from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the rear to differential cooler transmission fluid cooler upper pipe to the vehicle.

  2. Object Number: 1503776  Size: SH
  3. Connect the rear transmission fluid cooler upper pipe to the transmission. Refer to Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick-Connect Fitting Disconnection and Connection .

  4. Object Number: 1503940  Size: SH
  5. Connect the rear transmission fluid cooler upper pipe to the Differential oil cooler. Refer to Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick-Connect Fitting Disconnection and Connection .
  6. Install the transmission fluid cooler pipes clip.
  7. Check the transmission fluid level, add fluid if necessary. Refer to Transmission Fluid Level Inspection .
  8. Raise and secure the rear of the exhaust.
  9. Remove the drain pan.
  10. Lower the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
