Preliminary Procedure

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
2. Remove the rear tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .

Rear Wheel Opening Molding Retainers (Qty: 4)

Tip
Release and remove the lower four retainers securing the molding to the lower rear fascia.

Rear Wheel Opening Molding Assembly

Tip

1. Release the adhesive tape from the upper portion of the wheel opening molding and the body panel.
2. Clean all of the old tape residue from the body panel.
3. Upon reassembly of the molding, align the inner tabs on the molding to the vertical slots in the body panel and secure.
4. Position and secure the four lower retainers.

Adhesive Tape Backing

Tip
Remove the adhesive tape backing and wet out the molding to the body panel using the palm of the hand after the retainers are in position.
