Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 71215  Size: SH
  1. Remove the seat. Refer to Driver and Passenger Seat Replacement .
  2. Remove the seat belt pretensioner and buckle. Refer to Seat Belt Buckle Pretensioner Replacement .
  3. Remove the seat cushion cover and foam. Refer to Front Seat Cushion Cover and Pad Replacement .

  4. Object Number: 281997  Size: SH
  5. For non-power seats, remove the adjuster adjustment bar.

  6. Object Number: 71218  Size: SH
  7. Reposition the lumbar pump, if equipped.
  8. Remove the tie straps and reposition the pump and pouch up through the seat support wires .
  9. Remove the seat belt harness from the left seat frame.
  10. Remove the memory seat control module, if equipped.

  11. Object Number: 71217  Size: SH
  12. Remove the fasteners mounting the seat to the adjuster.
  13. Remove the adjuster.
  14. Transfer the parts as necessary.

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  1. Install the adjuster to the seat. Tighten the fasteners to the seat.
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the adjuster fasteners to 24 N·m (18 lb ft).

  3. For non-power seats, align the adjusters with their locking pawls engaged in the same slots side to side.
  4. Install the seat adjuster adjustment bar.

  5. Object Number: 339492  Size: SH
  6. Install the lumbar pump, if equipped.
  7. Important: When working on the passenger seat the convoluted tubing for the lumbar pump must lay over the aluminum bracket and be zip tied in place.

  8. Connect the seat belt harness to the left seat.

  10. Install the memory seat control module to the seat spring wire, if equipped.

  11. Object Number: 71215  Size: SH
  12. Install the seat belt pretensioner and buckle. Refer to Seat Belt Buckle Pretensioner Replacement .
  13. Install the seat cushion foam and cover. Refer to Front Seat Cushion Cover and Pad Replacement .
  14. Install the seat. Refer to Driver and Passenger Seat Replacement .
