Preliminary Procedures

1. Remove the seat. Refer to Driver and Passenger Seat Replacement .
2. Remove the seat back insert. Refer to Driver Seat and Passenger Seat Back Cushion Insert Cover and Pad Replacement .

Front Seat Back Cushion Cover

Procedure

1. The front seat back cushion cover and pad are removed as an assembly from the seat back frame.
2. There is a first and second design available for the seat back cushion cover and both are serviced with the second design cover, perform the following steps to remove and install the seat back cover.

•	The first design cover requires the removal of the side impact inflatable restraint from the seat to remove the cover and pad assembly. Refer to Driver and Passenger Seat Side Inflatable Restraint Module Replacement.

•	The second design does not require the removal of the side impact inflatable restraint for cover and pad removal.

•	The first and second design are replaceable with the second design.

•	When replacing the first design cover with the second design, the side impact inflatable restraint must be installed prior to the cover and pad installation.

Remove the seat back cover from the pad.
