Removal Procedure

    Caution: Refer to SIR Inflator Module Handling and Storage Caution in the Preface section.

  1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling .
  2. Remove the front side door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement - Left Side or Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement - Right Side .

    3. Object Number: 1226209 Size: SH
  3. Remove the retaining bolts from the inflatable restraint side impact sensor.
  4. Remove the sensor from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1226209 Size: SH
  1. Install the sensor to the vehicle.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the retaining bolts to the inflatable restraint side impact sensor.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

  3. Install the front side door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement - Left Side or Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement - Right Side .
  4. Enable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling .
