Circuit/System Description

The SECURITY telltale is a dual purpose indicator, and with the ignition OFF, it is controlled by the content theft deterrent system. With the ignition ON it is controlled by the vehicle theft deterrent system. The IPC receives a class 2 serial data message from either the BCM (content theft mode) or the RCDLR (Immobilizer mode) to illuminate the security indicator.

Circuit/System Verification

Ignition ON, initiate the IPC display test. The security indicator should illuminate.

If the indicator does not illuminate, replace the IPC
