The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
A clunk noise may be heard from the rear of the vehicle. This could be the result of inadequate torque to the upper stabilizer bar insulator clamp bolt or nut.
This PI should only be performed during the PDI process.
Torque the fasteners as stated below. Reference eSI document ID # 922521 as needed.
Tighten the stabilizer shaft insulator clamp bolts to 65 Nm (49 lb ft).
Tighten the stabilizer shaft insulator clamp nuts to 95 Nm (70 lb ft).
Once Completed, use Labor Operation Number E9990 and Time 0.1
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
