The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
A dealer may encounter a 2007 Z06 Corvette setting lean Diagnostic Trouble Codes P0171 and P0174.
Complete the current SI diagnostics for any trouble code or symptom found. If diagnostics are inconclusive and the fuel trims show a lean condition at either steady throttle or deceleration, continue with the information found in this PI.
The MAF readings could be skewed and inducing a lean condition. Monitor the MAF sensor operation and compare it to a like vehicle. Replace the MAF sensor with a known good sensor to see if lean condition is changed. If there is no change to the lean condition, do not attempt any more repairs.
Engineering is investigating 2007 Z06 Corvettes that are setting P0171 and P0174, if it occurs as described in this PI.
This PI will be updated when more information becomes available.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
