Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1704521 Size: SH
  1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  2. Remove the right side muffler assembly. Refer to Exhaust Muffler Replacement - Right Side .
  3. Remove the intermediate pipe assembly. Refer to Intermediate Pipe Replacement .
  4. Disconnect the vacuum line quick connect fitting (1) located on the left side of the vehicle forward of the rear drive module. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .

    5. Object Number: 1704525 Size: SH
  5. Remove the bolts from the retainer straps (4) along the length of the rear chassis vacuum line.
  6. Disconnect the rear chassis vacuum line quick connect fitting (3). Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
  7. Remove the rear chassis vacuum line from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1704525 Size: SH
  1. Install the vacuum line to the vehicle.
  2. Connect the rear chassis vacuum line quick connect fitting (3). Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .

    3. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  3. Install the bolts to the retainer straps (4) along the length of the rear chassis vacuum line.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the vacuum line strap bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  4. Connect the vacuum line quick connect fitting (1) located on the left side of the vehicle forward of the rear drive module. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
  5. Install the intermediate pipe assembly. Refer to Intermediate Pipe Replacement .
  6. Install the right side muffler assembly. Refer to Exhaust Muffler Replacement - Right Side .
  7. Lower the vehicle.
