Preliminary Procedures

  1. Remove left rear wheelhouse liner panel. Refer to Rear Wheelhouse Panel Liner Replacement.
  2. Remove the rear compartment rear center trim panel. Refer to Rear Compartment Rear Center Trim Panel Carpet Replacement.

Fuel Actuator Jam Nut (Qty: 1)

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

Tighten
2 N·m (18 lb in)

Fuel Actuator Mount Nut (Qty: 1)

Tighten
3 N·m (27 lb in)

Fuel Door Release Actuator

Tip

    • On a coupe model the electronically fuel door can be manually opened from the inside the rear compartment by pulling on the release cable located behind the drivers side rear wheelhouse carpet.
    • On a convertible model the electronically fuel door can be manually opened from the inside the rear compartment by pulling on the release cable located behind the stowage compartment carpet.
    • Disconnect the electrical connector.
