Fastener Tightening Specifications: Refer to Fastener Tightening Specifications .

Preliminary Procedure

  1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  2. Remove the tire and wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
  3. Rotate the front hub to gain access to the brake hose.

Fitting

Tip

    • It maybe necessary to apply a small amount of penetrating oil to the fitting prior to removing the fitting.
    • Cap or plug the brake pipe to prevent contamination to the brake system and fluid leaks.

Tighten
18 N·m (13 lb ft)

Bolt

Tighten
45 N·m (33 lb ft)

Washer (Qty: 2)

Tip

    • Cap or plug the brake caliper to prevent contamination to the brake caliper and fluid leakage.
    • DO NOT reuse the washers, replace with new.
    • Check and make sure that one or both of the washers are not stuck to the brake hose, caliper or the bolt.

Bleed the brake system. Refer to Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding .

Fastener Tightening Specifications: Refer to Fastener Tightening Specifications .

Preliminary Procedure

  2. Remove the tire and wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
  3. Move the brake rotor and caliper assembly to gain to the brake hose.

Tip

Tighten
18 N·m (13 lb ft)
