Both the steering column lock control module (SCLCM) and the remote control door lock receiver (RCDLR) have passwords stored in memory, that are required to match in order to unlock the steering column. When the ignition is turned ON, the SCLCM receives a password from the RCDLR on the class 2 serial data bus. The SCLCM will unlock the steering column if the power mode is on and the SCLCM and RCDLR passwords match. If the SCLCM and RCDLR passwords do not match, the steering column will not unlock and DTC B2910 will set.
• | The ignition is ON. |
• | DTCs B1327 or B1328 are not set as current. |
The SCLCM password does not match RCDLR password.
• | The steering column will not unlock. |
• | DTC B2910 is stored in the SCLCM memory. |
• | The SCLCM will command the driver information center (DIC) to display the Service Column Lock Now message. |
The stored SCLCM password matches the password from the RCDLR.
