DTC B0977 Symptom Code 06 Stored In BCM History - keywords BCM indicator lamp light program service set soon SVS SYM06 tech2 up vehicle

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

When performing diagnostics using the Tech2, DTC B0977 Symptom Code 06 may be set in the BCM. This DTC will be found current or history and will not cause any indicator or vehicle symptoms to be noticed. This code may set on a vehicle that was recently service with a new BCM or if the setup was performed to the vehicles current BCM.

This is a concern within the BCM. If the DTC B0977 and Symptom Code 06 are found current or history, ignore the DTC. No further action is required. Replacing the BCM will not correct this concern. If the Symptom Code is 01 with DTC B0977, this DTC will need to be diagnosed using SI.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
