Corvette Accessory Appearance Packages
General Motors has announced two accessory packages for the new Corvette. When dealers place their order for a new Corvette, they can elect to order one of two Genuine Chevrolet Accessory Packages. These packages allow customers to order the accessory kit and have them installed on their new Corvette. The accessory package may be installed by the local Accessory Distributor Installer (ADI) or the dealership.
Dealers must order option code VPK or VPL to qualify. Additional information was published in the Chevrolet "Hot Sheet" on how to order these packages.
Package Contents
Package VPK Includes:
| • | Screen Mesh Package -- Two Front Fender Side Covers, Exhaust Grille Plate and Front Fascia Inserts |
| • | Body Color Rear License Plate Frame |
| • | Underhood Insulation Blanket and Lamp Kit |
| • | *Vehicle Cover -- *Note - There are six different covers (four outdoor all-weather covers and two indoor dust covers). The ADI and or Dealership will select the cover. |
| • | Body Color Accessory Spoiler -- (Except color 41U Black) This is the standard spoiler painted to match the body color. Color 41U, black only is provided a full-width racing spoiler. |
| • | Body Colored Door Handles -- (Except color 41U Black) Black Vehicles are supplied with chrome door handles. |
Package VPL Includes:
| • | Screen Mesh Package -- Two Front Fender Side Covers, Exhaust Grille Plate and Front Fascia Inserts |
| • | Body Color Rear License Plate Frame |
| • | Underhood Insulation Blanket and Lamp Kit |
| • | *Vehicle Cover -- *Note - There are six different covers (four outdoor all-weather covers and two indoor dust covers). The ADI and or Dealership will select the cover |
| • | Body Color Full-Width Accessory Spoiler -- The full-width racing spoiler is included for all colors except for Atomic Orange (Color 83U) and White (Color 10U). For Orange and White, the standard width painted spoiler is substituted. |
| • | Body Colored Door Handles -- (Except color 41U Black) Black Vehicles are supplied with chrome door handles. |
| • | 15-Spoke Polished Aluminum Wheels - (Includes center cap and lug nuts) Note* Chrome wheels can be substituted for polished wheels with the customer paying for the price difference between the polished and chrome wheels. Refer to the Accessory Sales literature for additional information. |
| • | Graphics Package -- includes decals for the front fascia, hood, roof (coupe only) and decklid |
Warranty Information
Important: Dealers have the option of having their service department install the components provided by their local ADI. If they do, then they will be reimbursed a dollar amount, which is the hours to install at $70.00/hr average labor rate for the LPO option, or dealers can request that their local ADI complete the installation. If the dealer elects to install them, then they will receive a credit of "the above mentioned dollar amount" that will AUTOMATICALLY be credited to their open parts account (no need to apply).
If any of the components of these packages require replacement during the term of the New Vehicle Limited Warranty, please use the following labor operations for the work completed.
