Preliminary Procedure Remove the upper Intake manifold sight shield. Refer to Upper Intake Manifold Sight Shield Replacement. Drain a gallon of coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling. Disconnect the radiator surge pipe from the engine coolant air bleed pipe.
1	Bolt, Engine Coolant Air Bleed Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section. Tighten 12 N·m (106 lb in)
2	Engine Coolant Air Bleed Pipe Procedure Tip Always discard the engine coolant bleed pipe O-ring. Install a NEW O-ring to the engine coolant bleed pipe.

Component Name

Remove the upper Intake manifold sight shield. Refer to Upper Intake Manifold Sight Shield Replacement.
Drain a gallon of coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling.
Disconnect the radiator surge pipe from the engine coolant air bleed pipe.

Bolt, Engine Coolant Air Bleed

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Tighten
12 N·m (106 lb in)

Engine Coolant Air Bleed Pipe

Tip
Always discard the engine coolant bleed pipe O-ring.

Install a NEW O-ring to the engine coolant bleed pipe.
