J 38185 Hose Clamp Pliers
Removal Procedure
- Drain the cooling system. Refer to
Cooling System Draining and Filling.
- Remove the radiator support. Refer to
Radiator Support Replacement.
- Disengage tension on the radiator inlet hose clamp (1) at the radiator using
J 38185 Hose Clamp Pliers
.
- Disconnect the radiator inlet hose (2) from the radiator.
- Disengage tension on the radiator inlet hose clamp (1) at the water pump using
J 38185 Hose Clamp Pliers
.
- Disconnect the radiator inlet hose (2) from the water pump.
- Remove the radiator inlet hose from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
Caution: Make sure the reference marks on the hoses and the radiator are lined up. A twist on the hose would place strain on the radiator fitting which could cause the fitting to crack or break.
Note: Lubricate the inside diameters of the hose with clean coolant prior to installation.
- Install the radiator inlet hose to the vehicle.
- Connect the radiator inlet hose (2) to the water pump.
- Engage tension on the radiator inlet hose clamp (1) at the water pump using
J 38185 Hose Clamp Pliers
.
- Connect the radiator inlet hose (2) to the radiator.
- Engage tension on the radiator inlet hose clamp (1) at the radiator using
J 38185 Hose Clamp Pliers
.
- Install the radiator support. Refer to
Radiator Support Replacement.
- Fill the cooling system. Refer to
Cooling System Draining and Filling.

Removal Procedure

- Remove the radiator support. Refer to

- Disconnect the radiator inlet hose quick connect fitting (1) at the radiator.
- Disconnect the radiator inlet hose (2) from the radiator.
- Disengage tension on the radiator inlet hose clamp (1) at the water pump using
J 38185 Hose Clamp Pliers
.
- Disconnect the radiator inlet hose (2) from the water pump.
- Remove the radiator inlet hose from the vehicle.
