Voltage is supplied to the electronic suspension control (ESC) module through battery positive voltage and the ignition voltage circuits. The ESC module monitors the supplied voltage to determine if it is within a valid operating range.
The Ignition is ON.
The DTC sets when the system voltage is outside the normal range of 9-15.5 V.
• | Antilock Brake System (ABS) and Traction Control System (TCS) are disabled for the duration of the ignition cycle. |
• | The ABS and TCS indicators illuminates on the IPC. |
• | The DIC displays the SERVICE RIDE CONTROL message. |
The DTC is saved as history when the ESC module no longer sees system voltage outside the normal range of 9-15.5 V. The DTC will clear if the fault does not return after 50 consecutive ignition cycles.
• | A high or low voltage DTC set in multiple modules indicates a concern in the charging system. |
• | A possible cause of this DTC could be overcharging with a battery charger or jump starting. |
• | A high or low voltage value in multiple modules indicates a concern in the charging system. |
