Preliminary Procedure

1. Remove the engine mount-to-engine bracket nuts. Refer to Engine Mount Replacement - Left Side.
2. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.

Intermediate Pipe

Refer to Intermediate Pipe Replacement.

Exhaust Pipe Seal

Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) Bank 2 Sensor 1

Refer to Heated Oxygen Sensor Replacement - Bank 2 Sensor 1.

Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) Bank 2 Sensor 2

Refer to Heated Oxygen Sensor Replacement - Bank 2 Sensor 2.

Catalytic Converter to Exhaust Manifold Nut (Qty: 4)

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Tighten
50 N·m (37 lb ft)

Right Side Catalytic Converter

Tip
The engine will need to be raised slightly for the catalytic converter to clear the exhaust manifold mounting studs.

Exhaust Manifold Pipe Gasket

Tip
Improperly installed and/or leaking exhaust gaskets may affect vehicle emissions and/or On-Board Diagnostics (OBD) II system performance.
