- Using J 36190 universal driver handle (1) and J 39439-3 bushing installer (2), install the extension housing bearing.
- Snap the oil funnel into the NEW extension housing countershaft bearing.
- Using J 36190 universal driver handle (1) and DT 48802 bearing installer (2), install the NEW extension housing countershaft bearing.
- Install the mainshaft bearing race, using the J 39546 race installer (1) and the J 8092 drive handle (2).
- Install the mainshaft bearing race retainer ring.
- Install the output shaft inner and outer seals using the J 21426 seal installer .
- Apply sealer GM P/N 12346004 (Canadian P/N 10953480) or equivalent to the transmission case drain plug.
- Install the transmission case drain plug and tighten to 18 N·m (13 Ib ft).
