Preliminary Procedure

1. Remove all four tail lamp assemblies. Refer to Tail Lamp Replacement.
2. Reach inside the tail lamp openings in order to access the rear end spoiler assembly nuts.
3. Disconnect the high mount stop lamp electrical connector.

Rear End Spoiler Nut (Qty: (6)

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Tighten
4 N·m (35 lb in)

High Mount Stop Lamp Nut (Qty: 4)

Tighten
10 N·m (89 lb in)

Rear End Spoiler Assembly

Tip
Transfer the high mount stop lamp to the new spoiler assembly. Refer to High Mount Stop Lamp Replacement.

Preliminary Procedure

1. Remove both inner tail lamps. Refer to Tail Lamp Replacement.
2. Reach inside the tail lamp holes and remove the four nuts securing the rear spoiler to the rear bumper fascia.
3. Disconnect the electrical connector.

Rear Spoiler Stud (Qty: 2)

Tip
Remove the center two studs in order to separate the CHMSL from the rear spoiler.

Center High Mounted Stop Lamp (CHMSL)

Tip
Remove the two inner studs from the rear spoiler in order to separate the CHMSL from the rear spoiler.

Rear Spoiler

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Tighten
10 N·m (89 lb in)
