Power Steering Pump Pulley Replacement LS3, LS7

Special Tools

    • J 25033-C Pulley Installer
    • J 25034-C Pulley Remover

For equivalent regional tools, refer to Special Tools.

Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the accessory drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement - Accessory.
  2. Remove the brake pressure modulator valve (BPMV) bracket. Refer to Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Bracket Replacement.

    3. Object Number: 649303 Size: SH
  3. Use the J 25034-C remover to remove the power steering pump pulley.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 643361 Size: SH
  1. Use the J 25033-C installer to install the power steering pump pulley.

    2. Object Number: 254752 Size: SH

    Note: The power steering pump pulley must be installed onto the power steering pump shaft so that the hub of the pulley is flush to within 0.25 mm (0.010 in) with the end of the pump shaft.

  2. Check the position of the power steering pump pulley on the power steering pump.
  3. Install the accessory drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement - Accessory.
  4. Install the BPMV bracket. Refer to Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Bracket Replacement.
